Alison Maria Krauss, born 23rd July 1971, is an American singer and musician. Her age was just teen when she first entered the music world, having won local contests as early as 10 years of age and recording her first album at the age of 14 years old. The year 1987 was when she dropped her debut solo album following signing with Rounder Records. Then, she was invited to join Alison Krauss Union Station, the band she currently performs with. Her first album as a collective with this band came out in the year 1989.
