In the year 2015, at age 19, she released her debut single Here. It was a huge hit and received praise from the public and from critics. It was ranked in the Canadian Hot 100, and Billboard Hot 100, ranked it as 19. Even Rolling Stone named the song one of the Top Songs of 2015. That same year she debuted the album she titled Know It All, the track Scars to Your Beautiful ranked in the Billboard Hot 100 as well as the Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200. It also was among the first five songs. In her interview with Rap-Up the listeners discussed Cara's journey to self-love and the doubts she faced. Cara has a reputation for including messages on the importance of mental health, kindness and love of self in her songs. She's been in the midst of insomnia and anxiety, which affected her life. According to an Reuters interview, she described her album as half-tumultuous and half perfected. The growth of her career was helped through therapy. She encourages others who need help to seek assistance. Alessia Cara was born to Italian parents on July 11th, 1996. She was given a guitar from her parents at the time she was 10 years old, which sparked her musical passion. At the age of 13 she started covering her most loved songs via YouTube one of the biggest media platforms in order to demonstrate to the world that she possessed the talent skills and determination to develop into a singer. One of the songs Sweater Weather ended up getting noticed by a record label called EP Entertainment which allowed her to write and create the tracks.
