Rihanna, who was born in Saint Michael and grew up in Bridgetown, Barbados became an audition for Evan Rogers, an American record producer. He invited her to the United States to record demo tapes. Following her signing with Def Jam in 2005, she quickly gained attention with the release of her first two studio albums: Music of the Sun (2005) and A Girl Like Me (2006) and A Girl Like Me (2006), both of which were inspired by Caribbean music and climbed into the top ten of the US Billboard 200 chart. Good Girl Gone Bad, the third album by Rihanna, was heavily influenced by dance-pop. It made her an icon of the sex music industry. Rihanna got her first Grammy Award for "Umbrella" the chart-topping track which launched Rihanna to international stardom. Her subsequent album, a studio one Rated R (2010), Loud (2010) and Talk That Talk (2011), continued her mix of R&B and pop. Unapologetic (2012) was her first Billboard 200 top-ten album. A number of chart-topping tracks came out from the albums, including "Rude Boy", ("Only Girl in the world")" as well as "What's My Name?" ", "S&M", "We discovered love", "Where Have You Been" and "Diamonds". Anti (2016), her eighth studio album, was her first album since leaving Def Jam.
